In a dream, chats become memory
Klaus periodically looks back over recent chats and folds the preferences, conventions and progress that keep coming up into long-term memory. Next time you start, it already knows how you like to work.

What to know about Dream
Off by default
Auto-record and scheduled dreaming are two separate switches, both off until you turn them on.
Runs on thresholds
After 5 new chats and 24 hours since the last dream; both thresholds are adjustable.
Or on demand
“Dream now” on the Dream page ignores the thresholds.
Memory is just files
Sorted into about you, preferences, current work and references, stored on your computer — open, edit or delete them.
Every dream is recorded
Past dreams show how many chats were reviewed, which memories changed, and a one-line summary.
Questions
How is Dream different from auto-record?
Auto-record writes memory at the end of every turn, at a little extra usage; a dream periodically reviews a batch of chats and consolidates the scattered pieces. The two switches are independent and both off by default; you can enable either one alone.
Can I stop a dream midway?
No. Once started, a dream runs to completion, usually within seconds to a few minutes. To keep it from running automatically again, turn off automatic dreaming in Settings → Dream.
Where does dream content go?
Consolidating memory means a model reads those chats, so the relevant content goes to the model service you chose. The result is written to the memory folder on your computer.
