Changelog

Version history and feature changes for Klaus, Klaus iOS and Klaus Cli, in date order. Desktop and CLI installation is on the download page, and iOS is currently in TestFlight beta.

October 8, 2026 v1.0 (22)
  • Pulling the chat list still syncs the desktop's latest chats when the connection is blocked, and the sidebar offers a clear way to recover
  • Chat sidebar project rows are re-sized: project and device names read at a glance, and the list is calmer
October 7, 2026 v1.0 (21)
  • Opening a chat from a notification is faster: the target computer pre-syncs when the push arrives, and the chat shows a skeleton instead of waiting blank
  • Local notification permissions and delivery are more accurate: completed and awaiting-input alerts are recorded per event, with no misfires or misses
  • The page underneath no longer shifts when a side drawer opens; lists and the footer line up properly
  • Connection and sync states are clearer: offline, reconnecting and syncing each show their own indicator, with less explanatory text
  • Settings gains accessibility and secure interactions; fonts across the app settle on one hierarchy for easier reading
  • Chat model configuration forwards correctly through the cloud relay, so switching models across devices takes effect immediately
October 6, 2026 v1.0 (20)
  • A new-chat entry is added: pick a desktop device, workspace and run environment on the phone and start a chat right there
  • The multi-device chat sidebar matches the desktop: filter chats by device, with workspace and project status at a glance
  • While a desktop turn runs you can send queued or steering messages; the queue syncs across devices and can be undone
  • The chat model can be configured per device, and a new turn uses it immediately after switching
  • Chat content matches the desktop: formulas, code, image previews and turn deliverables all render in full
  • Offline and disconnect recovery is more reliable: drafts, failed messages and your sign-in all come back after a restart
  • Local notification permissions added for completed and awaiting-input tasks; a notification tap opens that chat
October 5, 2026 v1.0 (19)
  • The chat list syncs live: chats created or switched on the desktop appear on the phone instantly, with no waiting or manual refresh
  • Resuming after foregrounding or a cold start is more complete: history and run state restore together, and pre-compaction turns stay readable
  • A brief network blip is told apart from a sign-in failure: no endless reconnecting, and the original chat reattaches when the network returns
  • When the desktop asks mid-turn, the phone can answer: drafts and pending state survive a reconnect, so no answer is lost
  • Delivered messages are acknowledged and reconciled after a reconnect: follow-ups and images are neither lost nor duplicated
September 22, 2026 v1.0 (18)
  • Remote control is steadier: progress syncs live while the desktop works, a slow load is reported and can be retried, and nothing hangs on "thinking"
  • Error messages are fully localised, and a running turn can still be stopped while offline
  • When the desktop awaits approval or an answer, the phone shows that card live and flags the chat in the list
  • Local notifications added: alerts when a task completes or the desktop is waiting and the app is backgrounded, tapping opens that chat
  • The sub-task detail page can stop a running turn, with the follow-up queue and desktop reconnect status in view
September 21, 2026 v1.0 (17)
  • Multi-folder desktop workspaces can be viewed, and a chat can be started inside one
  • Image sending and post-disconnect message recovery are steadier; task replies and run state stay consistent with the desktop
  • Large chat histories no longer trigger repeated reconnects, and switching chats keeps the reply process
  • The chat sidebar matches the desktop, with a simpler run-settings entry
September 17, 2026 v1.0 (13)
  • Sign in with email and password, Google or GitHub; one Klaus account discovers desktops that have allowed remote control
  • Switch desktop devices and chats on the iPhone, send messages, images and files, and see task replies and run status
  • Connects to the desktop over the public internet — no shared LAN needed — and the selected desktop still runs the task
